Palace Set Design
This set was designed as a dual scenery piece for a story made up for a group project. The story is based in an Arab town in the nineteenth century and follows two children who run away from a local fruit market trying to catch a monkey who stole their fruit. In the midst of the chaos, the town's King is being welcomed back home with a big parade. The children end up being trapped on a parade float that is stored in the Kings palace. When the King finds the children, he attempts to feed them to the snake that guards his treasure room.
Beginning with storyboarding, I determined the most necessary scenes to convey the story and decided that I wanted a set that could be transformable and function as two different scened with a few minor adjustments.
